Built to open every throw
A cast net is measured from the horn to the leadline, so a 10 ft opens into about a 20 ft circle on the water. Take the size you can still open when you're tired.

Questions about our nets
What size cast net should I get?
Two things pick your size: what you can open every throw, and how much room you've got to work with. A 10 ft is where most people land. The 10 ft, 1/4" mesh, 1.4 lb/ft is the captains' favorite for 2–15 ft of water. A 6 or an 8 is for a dock, a seawall, the beach, or a skiff with a tight deck. Go to a 12 if you're throwing every morning and you've got the deck for it. Stuck between two sizes? Take the one you can still open when you're tired. The size guide covers every net.
What does the lifetime warranty cover?
Everything. If your net fails for any reason, even if you tear it on oysters, pilings or a prop, we'll get you a new net at 50% off the current MSRP. Email dropoutcastnets@gmail.com with your name, proof of purchase and a photo of the damaged net. It covers every net except the 3 ft youth/kayak net, and shipping isn't included. Warranty details.
How do the nets ship?
Every net comes in a 3-gallon bucket with a rope handle and lid, so you have somewhere to keep it on the boat.
Can I buy a net in a store?
Yes. 17 bait and tackle shops carry our nets, from St. Augustine to Tampa Bay to Fort Myers, so you can hold one before you buy. See where to buy, and call ahead to check sizes.
